Scott, please join the TCI. It is an important opportunity for Vermont to take responsible, effective action to address our unsustainable use of fossil fuels. Vermonters will end up paying for this regional agreement whether or not you enroll us. We should receive some financial benefit, especially if the benefit is used to help people with low incomes as has been proposed by VPIRG and others. By joining TCI, you would demonstrate your commitment to not only the environment but also to the people in Vermont who most need help. This action could offset some of the negative perceptions you have generated by recent vetoes of parental leave and minimum wage legislation. Thanks very much!	-

I urge that the policy prioritizes clean investments in areas overburdened by pollution and/or for those who don’t have access to transportation choices.	-

There is no time to waste, and the urgency means that the goals of climate neutral transportation for millions of Americans are far more important than the often distorted jobs vs. environment misinformation of the fossil fuel industry. Since college I have lived in Philadelphia where transportation is plentiful and a car is a luxury and an unnecessary expense. Growing up in rural area I appreciate nature and do not like seeing it degraded by pollution. Now that the Oil refinery in South Philadelphia is gone we need to think in terms of alternative fuels. I owned a car for less than ten years and got rid of it in 1976. I do not miss it. I walk, ride a bike and SEPTA wherever I need to go. I once worked to limit car use in Delaware under Clinton's ISTEA law. It should still be in effect today.	-
