There's no public transportation available in most of the State. Transportation costs for public education are already having huge impacts on budgets. Additional taxes won't and increased gas prices won't force me to buy a more fuel efficient vehicle. It will force me to choose between going to a dr and hoping I get better at home. This isn't an initiative for Maine.	-

Also, work commutes of 25 miles or more one-way are common, so there would be an extremely unfair burden thrust upon Mainers by this proposed tax hike. There is nothing about climate issues that a tax will fix. I am strongly opposed to this.	-

I would rather breath in the very low levels of CO2 emissions currently IN MAINE than to trade for the policies of states that allow millions of hypodermic needles to riddle their streets, yet cry about plastic straws. They ban plastic straws, but ignore the massive impending plague that is festering in their state/community. So no. No thank you. Leave Maine alone. Even if the entire Maine population went 100% clean/no-energy/zero CO2 waste....it would have ZERO overall impact on global emissions. How about, you start these initiatives in...ummmm....say...
