Emissions due to transportation are one of the largest contributors to overall emissions and therefore urgent to address. My only concerns are that the... read more As an elder and a health care provider I am fully aware that we are facing an existential crisis in climate change, I want to express my full support for TCI. My only concerns are that the proposed carbon prices are too low to achieve the emission reduction goals we must meet to avoid the most dire consequences of global warming. My other concern is that some low and middle income individuals and families may suffer unfairly if plans are not developed for tax rebates or other means to reimburse them for gas price increases passed on to them.	-

I ask that you establish a robust program with strong enforcement that... read more I call upon Pennsylvania, and other northeastern states to join and advance the Transportation Climate Initiative. I ask that you establish a robust program with strong enforcement that encourages the use of electric vehicles and discourages the use of fossil fuels. Methane and other fossil based gases are not acceptable substitutes for solid and liquid fossil fuels. The methane production process is full of leaks and problems. Don't let the gas industry corrupt this initiative. They are sure to try. We need zero emission solutions. I support the use of nuclear power as the primary source of electricity for transportation and other power needs. Please also take steps to ensure that state level enforcement is assured and that Federal interference is repelled. Thank you for your consideration.	-
