According to a recently released study by Harvard and other institutions, if the program is designed appropriately, up to 1,100 lives can be saved annually, and the region could see $11 billion in health benefits each year. |

At the same time, solar power is rapidly becoming the most economical source of electricity, as well as the cleanest, and will reduce the demand for fossil fuel. Completing the pipeline will create temporary jobs and short-term profits for a few corporations while doing long-term environmental damage. |

Those consequences have already started and are accelerating at a rapid rate. Think of the expanding number of hurricanes, the horrific fires in California, in other western states, Australia, the Brazilian Amazon, etc., etc. The melting of permafrost in the north is already releasing huge quantities of stored methane. It goes on and on. Quite frankly, to MY view, it is already too late to avoid massive changes to the earth's climate which endanger every aspect of life, including the lives of mankind. This initiative is a MUST! |
